Petros Ayele, MD

Petros Ayele received his doctorate degree from Gondar College of Medical Science in 1992. His first residency program focus was in clinical pathology at Addis Ababa Medical School and the second was in Internal Medicine at Prince George’s Hospital Center. Dr. Ayele currently specializes in Internal Medicine and has over 25 years of experience. He has published work in transplant medicine.

Dr. Ayele’s Primary Care Practice is located in Alexandria, VA. He serves as the Medical Director for Fredericksburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. He is currently providing care for patients in Fredericksburg Health and Rehabilitation center, Potomac Falls Health and Rehabilitation center, Manassas Health and Rehabilitation center as well as various assisted living centers and also in private residences.

 


Donna Cyrus, MSN, RN, CDP, WCC, AGNP-BC

Donna began working in the health care field over 25 years ago. She has worked at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Central Virginia Training Center, and various long term skilled nursing facilities. Donna’s background is mainly in critical care and skilled rehabilitation. Donna specifically enjoys working with the geriatric population.

Donna holds a Masters degree in nursing, is wound care certified, and has been certified as a dementia practitioner. She is a board certified Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner providing care in a variety of settings including the patients home, assisted living facilities, skilled and rehabilitation centers, and primary and urgent care. In addition to providing care, Donna enjoys teaching and was once named Teacher of the Year by the VCCA.


Shalini Gehani, ANP, BC-FNP

Shalini has been practicing nursing for over 20 years and has been a board certified nurse practitioner since graduating from Chamberlain College of Nursing Master’s Program in 2015. She has extensive background in surgery, emergency medicine, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal and endocrine diseases. In addition to her extensive clinical experience, Shalini also has an outstanding academic background that includes two bachelor’s degrees (BA in English literature and fine arts and a BSN in nursing).

Shalini’s current research interests include Yoga as a Therapeutic Intervention as the prevention and treatment of chronic medical conditions.


Mahelet Mamo, FNP-APRN

Mahelet is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She first received her bachelor’s of science in nursing, RN Program, at George Mason University in 2012. Shortly after, she received her family nurse practitioner certification from Howard University. She has experience as an RN in both Medical Surgery and Kidney Transplant Unit and the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Howard University.

Some of her areas of expertise include patient care management, IV therapy, patient and family education and hospital operations management. She also has experience as a house call provider with UnitedHealth Group.


Awatif Bazzi, MSN, FNP-BC

Awatif is board certified family nurse practitioner. She began her career by working for a local Level 1 trauma center 10 years ago. Since that time, she worked in various areas of patient care. Her focus has been on patient center care, disease prevention and health promotion.

In addition to her extensive experience, Awatif has an outstanding academic background that include two bachelor’s degrees, BS in information system and BSN in nursing. She also holds a master’s of science in nursing in family practice.
